E-Buddies Registration for 2018-2019 is now open!
We hope you had a great weekend and for all of those who went to the SHPE conference expanded their networks and are empowered by this experience.
Please sign up to the E-Buddies program where you have the opportunity to collaborate with a mentor or mentee to extend your network, inspire a student, learn more skills that will enhance your career and make a buddy.
E-buddies is a program provided by members of SHPE-Santa Barbara to establish a strong relationship through e-mail, activities, workshops and socials. The main communication will be through e-mail where the student can easily address any questions s/he may have regarding her/his major, course work, or job hunting advice.
This year’s E-buddies Coordinators, Cecilia Cadenas and Luis Garfias invite you to sign up and become part of this program.

SHPE Santa Barbara Scholarship 2018-19 SHPE-SB aims to prepare UCSB and SBCC student chapter members for careers in STEM fields through educational workshops, mentoring, assisting with chapter activities and providing scholarships.
On behalf of the Santa Barbara Professional Chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE-SB), we would like to encourage you to apply for the SHPE-SB scholarship. Our chapter is enthusiastic in offering scholarships for the 2018-2019 school year.
It is very important that each section of the application be completed and submitted correctly.THE SELECTION COMMITTEE WILL DISQUALIFY YOUR APPLICATION IF ANY SECTION IS INCOMPLETE.
The scholarship application deadline is Saturday, December 1, 2018. No applications will be accepted after this date.
Applicants will be notified of the results in January of 2019 at their respective student organization meetings.
